Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 May 2026 · Draft

These Terms govern your use of the HonestID app and related services provided by Honest Identity Ltd (“HonestID”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use HonestID.

The service

HonestID provides real-time identity assurance to help you confirm you are communicating with the genuine person. It is a tool to support your own judgment — it reduces the risk of impersonation but does not provide an absolute guarantee of identity. You remain responsible for your decisions and communications.

Your account

Your account is secured with biometric login and bound to your device. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and your account secure, and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Intellectual property

HonestID and its associated software, branding, and content are owned by Honest Identity Ltd and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every impersonation attempt.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HonestID will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
